The Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, on Saturday, broke silence on his alleged ambition to contest in the 2023 presidential election.
Amaechi in an interview with Arise TV said people clamouring for him to contest should rather give him money.
The former Governor of Rivers State noted that he needs money to survive rather than to contest in the 2023 general elections.
This is coming a few days after the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai stated that he would only run as a running mate to the Amaechi if President Muhammadu Buhari insists.
Amaechi while speaking on Saturday said, “The people that want me to run for the presidency in 2023 should just give me the money. I need money to survive.”
Meanwhile, presidential campaign posters of the minister were seen at the venue of the ongoing National Convention of APC in Abuja.
Posters of other presidential aspirants were also at the convention ground on Saturday as delegates decide to appoint their party leaders.
